Blood on the Clocktower!

What is Blood on the Clocktower?

Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game from the family of Werewolves of Millers Hollow or Maffia. In this game a team of good players face off against a team of evil demons and minions. The goal of the game for the good players is to find and eliminate the evil players, before the evil team eliminates them.

Pick your Poison…
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced storyteller, we have a game for everyone to sink their teeth into. We are organising more than 60 games throughout the day that you can sign up for. Not only are we playing the base three scripts Trouble Brewing, Bad Moon Rising and Sects and Violets, but there will also be multiple games with custom scripts. These will be announced at a later date. There is also enough room to run a town of your own.
Frequently asked questions
Can my kids join?

Blood on the Clocktower is a game where communication and deduction play a central role. We think that the game is less suitable for children below the age of 13. However, we think that as a parent you know best what your child is and isn’t capable of. Therefore we do not want to impose a minimum age to attend this event. We do however require that all visitors below the age of 13 are accompanied by an adult at all times. Adult supervisors require their own ticket.

Which languages will the games be in?

The majority of games will be run in English, however there will be a few games in Dutch. Each game will be clearly labelled with the language used on the sign-up page.

How many games can I sign up to?

We will organize more than 60 gaes throughout the day, with a variety of scripts. To ensure that everyone has equal opportunity to play a game that matches their interest, we limit the amount of sign-ups to these games to 4.

Outside of the organized games there is plenty of room to run your own town (the so called pick-up games). You do not need to sign up to these games, just ask the Storyteller if there is a spot for you to join.

What if I'm late to a game?

Our organised games will run on a tight schedule. This means that each game will start at the exact time it is scheduled for, and only those who are present at that time will be able to join the game. If not all seats are taken at the time the game is due to start we will open them up for anyone present. That means that if you are too late for your booked game, your seat will most likely be taken by someone else. We will not allow Travelers in our games. The only exception to this is our official STs – they will have agreed this with the ST running the game in advance. Even our official STs are not allowed to Travel to beginner games.

What if a game ends early or runs late?

The official games will adhere to a strict timetable (60 minutes for 9 player games, and 90 minutes for 12 player games). Our Storytellers are adept in optimally using this time.

However, it can happen that a game ends early due to a lucky demon execution, or, for example, when a minion successfully finds a Damsel. If there is enough time left in the allowed timeframe the Storyteller may start a new game.

Similarly, if a game overruns, the Storyteller may introduce the Fiddler fabled character, shortening the game, so that it ends on time, and everyone present can make their next booked game.

Whether to start a new game, or introduce the Fiddler, is always up to the Storyteller’s discretion.

Is the location wheelchair accessible?

We strive towards Clockathon being universally accessible. The location is easily accessible by wheelchair. The organised games are perfectly suitable for people with visual or auditory limitations, and the event can be attended for free by officially registered RTGS-interpreters. There is also a small low-stimulus room available upon request.

If you have other limitations, or have questions whether this event is suitable for your situation, please contact us at info@clockathon.nl
